Telephony

The telephony add-on rents a Swedish phone number for one campaign, prints it on the letter, and forwards every call to the customer's own number. Calls are the second response channel next to QR scans, and both feed the Analys tab — see Analytics.

Managed under Konverteringar in the web app

Numbers are the customer's own resources: rented under Konverteringar, then linked to an utskick through a paid checkout. There is no way to attach a number when creating a campaign — not in the web wizard and not on POST /api/v1/campaigns (the former session-only phoneForwardTo field has been removed).

Lifecycle

WhenWhat happens
Number created under KonverteringarA Stripe subscription checkout opens for the monthly rent; the number is allocated from the provider (46elks) when the first payment lands
Linked to an utskickFree and instant — the monthly rent is what pays for attribution. Calls from then on count on that utskick in Analys
Someone callsThe provider asks this API what to do (/api/webhooks/elks/voice-start), and is told to connect the call to the customer's own number
The call endsThe provider reports the outcome (/api/webhooks/elks/hangup) and it is logged against the number and the linked utskick
ReleasedBy the customer ("Släpp numret", which also cancels the subscription), or automatically when the subscription ends — cancelled, or given up by Stripe after failed payments

What is stored

Per call: the number, the utskick it was linked to at the time (if any), the provider's call id, start time, whether it was answered, duration, outcome and provider cost — and a keyed hash of the caller's number, never the number itself. The hash is salted per rented number, so unique callers can be counted across the utskick a number serves, but never joined across numbers or reversed.

Pricing

A number costs a flat monthly rent ex VAT (PHONE_MONTHLY_MINOR in packages/schemas), paid as a Stripe subscription that starts when the number is created and ends when it is released. Linking to utskick is free and unlimited while the rent runs. A campaign's own checkout never contains telephony — and since attribution requires a number, and a number requires rent, there is no way to gain call statistics without paying.
